Here's a fun tutorial on how to recycle crayons and turn them into pretty multicolored butterflies. Of course, since all you need is a metal cookie cutter, they could really be made in any shape.



At first I was thinking that this wasn't the type of thing I would probably ever do, mostly because I'm insanely lazy and just don't care all that much. However, I'm putting this out here because I think it's an absolutely terrific idea and would be fun to do with kids. See, you could teach kids about recycling and then they'd have cool-shaped crayons that draw with marbley multicolors. And now I'm coming around to it as a fun thing I'm going to remember for the next time my nieces and nephews are saying "I'm booooooooored."
