Ice Balls For Your Delicious Drink
Ice cubes are so 5 minutes ago. You're now supposed to be making ice balls, get with it, man. The reason: they have less surface area than a cube, so they melt more slowly and don't dilute your cocktail quite so fast.

They look so pretty. But I know a lot of ice-crunchers and this would not work for them, because it could probably slip down their throats like a marble and suffocate them and wouldn't melt because of its slow melting properties. And that would be tragic.
Fact: Someone told me to go to a bar in Tokyo that hand-made their ice balls but then I couldn't remember what it was called or where it was so I never made it there. And that is the only personal ice ball-related anecdote I have in my arsenal, unfortunately, since it's not funny or interesting.
