Teacup Chandeliers Are So Much Cooler Than They Sound
Madeleine Boulesteix makes these amazing chandeliers out of old teacups and wineglasses, yet they don't look like they should be in a musty old lady's tea parlor as you might expect when you hear the concept. On the contrary they are BEAUTIFUL works of recycled art. I want one. Amazing!
This is one of those things that in the past, I would see and think I could make myself and then I would spend tons of money on materials and hours making it and then it would look hideous and people would ask if I made it in 3rd grade. I can't figure out how much they cost- probably a lot- but they are for sale by commission on Madeleine Boulesteix's website and also at Found in Tokyo and Susie Cole in Dorset, England. Alas neither store appears to have online shopping.

Blogs

I just read another blog where someone commenting was talking about having a go at making something they'd seen themselves. The serious issue here is that if you do you are breaching copyright law. The healthier ethical response is to commission not copy!

Great point! If it wasn't clear, my remarks about copying were meant to be strictly tongue-in-cheek, not serious.
