Good Times on the J-Church

This morning I was on the J-Church train heading downtown and a funny thing happened. In addition to the pre-recorded soothing lady voice announcing the stops, the driver started injecting his own commentary. But it wasn't just the usual inaudibly mumbled "stand clear" or "we'll  be moving shortly"- this guy was totally having fun.

"I got a crazy horse today so hang on folks... whoa there... it's a crazy horse. Un caballo loco."

Then: "We gonna be moving in about 9 seconds and you know when you get off, I'm gonna miss you... but I'm thinking we gonna see each other again in 24 hours so it's OK."

On second thought, maybe he was on drugs. At any rate, awesome! Reminds me of a certain D-train driver in NYC who used to announce historical facts about the Manhattan Bridge as you crossed it. Too bad the D changed routes and goes underground now.
