A Waterfall Beneath the Brooklyn Bridge?

Reuters is reporting that the incredibly talented Olafur Eliasson has been tapped to create 4 giant waterfalls in New York City- a la the recent Christo Gates event in Central Park.

One waterfall will be on (off?) the Brooklyn Bridge. The city is hoping this will generate $55+ million in tourist revenue. I have to say, looks like it might be worth a trip when they are installed... pretty amazing concept.

And if you're in the SF Bay Area and haven't yet seen the Olafur Eliasson show at MOMA, you have until February 24. I highly recommend it! It's interactive, aesthetically pleasing, thought-provoking, and FUN.
