This Monday morning I am in drinking coffee from a regular ol' mug while falling in love with this gorgeous birchwood and silver coffee set. I have a feeling my coffee would taste a million times better and probably somehow magically solve all of the problems and injustices faced by coffee farmers around the world if I could drink it from this set.




Andrea Branzi designed it. He's so cool. He didn't polish the silver, he dipped it in acid. Who does that? Someone awesome, that's who. Then he screwed pieces of birch onto it with tiny screws. Why? Obviously because he is superbadass.

This 25-piece set was first created in 1995 but he just showed it at the Design Art London. He only made 2, so good luck buying one. You will probably have to take out a second mortgage on that small principality you own in order to afford it.
