I debated not writing about this because I worry you will think I have lost my mind and all sense of taste, but at the same time I don't want you to miss out on a pop culture phenomenon that I have secretly come to relish and enjoy so dearly. Also, when I have showed this to other people under the pretense of it being ridiculous, they actually liked it. And laughed and added it to their google reader and stuff.
So without further ado I want to introduce you (if you haven't already become secretly addicted, like me) to ICanHasCheezburger.
I know, it's super dorky. And yet- I love it. I guess I am super dorky too. As are the thousands of people commenting and voting on the site and making the owners gazillions of dollars. Talk about a "why didn't I think of that?" idea. There goes another one.
Will it make you feel better to know this is an official movement whose concepts and terms have entered our lexicon? Just because you don't use the terms "cat macros" and/or "lolcats" and/or "caturdays" every day doesn't mean they aren't real. They are. See? Totally real. Legit, even.
I have said before that I am not really a cat person. A few times, in fact. I mean for the record I don't own a cat and when I did I gave it back after a few months, so, you know, actions speak louder than words, right? Right? Why aren't you saying "Right"?

Don't feel ashamed. I think lolcats are kinda funny. Xenos, not so much. He thinks the fact that I think they are so funny, funny.
