Yet Another Reason To Wear Your Anti-Bush T-Shirt All The Time

The Federal Government has to pay 2 peaceful protesters $80,000 for wrongfully arresting them at an event in West Virginia, because all they were doing was wearing t-shirts with anti-Bush slogans (and, I might add, pretty tame ones, no curse words or anything.)

Yeah. Uh, you can't do that. I'm sure soon the Patriot Act will cover stuff like that in the very near future, since it's taken away so many of our other civil rights, but for now, wearing a t-shirt with words on it is not grounds for arrest. So the t-shirt wearers sued the Feds and won.

Scorecard:
t-shirt wearers: +$80,000
federal government: -$80,000
