I Am Not A Crazy Cat Lady. I Am Not A Crazy Cat Lady.
I found two weird cat things in one day so I'm putting them up together, lest I put them up separately and become known as that person who blogs about cute cats. But these are bizarre enough to warrant a mention.
First, we have the Mr. Lee CatCam. Now the main reason I want to share this is because people might start making esoteric pop-culture (geek-culture?) jokes about it and I want you to be in the loop. Essentially a guy modded a camera and strapped it around his cat's neck and programmed it to take a photo every 90 seconds, so he could FINALLY know what his precious cat was doing while he was gone.

I love how Mr. Lee looks like he's planning how to kill me with his evil eye in that photo. Probably because he's thinking "I can't believe this guy strapped this thing around my neck. What a jerk." Because let's face it, that doesn't look so comfy.
Here are some of the photos this crazy cat took. You can buy your own CatCam OR the stuff to make your own on the website as well.
And speaking of things that don't look so comfy, second, we have the Hello Kitty-izer. You can strap your cat into these accessories so it looks like Hello Kitty. Which I'm sure is really comfortable for your cat. And not at all embarrasing, degrading, or demeaning.

There are more pics here. If you view this page with Google translation you get the bonus of seeing it try to slog through this Japanese page, which contains such helpful sentences as:

"This the commodity is not daily arrival and the collar. It will stop the use and unreasonable wearing of long haul. “Foppery” to be delightful is potato excessively for the cat.
With the [ri] which is the [ku] which is said becomes matter of concern, but….So, when the [ya] it is you dress in the cat of the foppish class upper-class person, attracting the attention of the camera young priest in oneself you are not wrong the shank!"
